This site is dedicated to the memory of my Nan Peggy Coates.

R.I.P NAN My Nan was like a friend to me, everything I told her she kept it secret, she didn’t judge me or anyone by what we said or done. She was a very beautiful and warm-hearted person. I remember the times I stayed with Nan; she always made me feel at home and always asked what I wanted and checked I was ok. The one thing with Nan was that she always checked that other people were ok before herself. I have so many good memories of Nan, one being our take-away Friday’s which Nan really enjoyed; she often had a Kebab or Curry. One of my most memorable times with Nan was when her electric wheelchair broke down on Middleton Road while we were on our way to Sutton, It happened on a Saturday so the engineers only worked until lunchtime, 12.05 was the time so the engineers had gone home for the weekend. My only option was to turn the motors off and push her home. Therefore, off we went down the road laughing and talking as we always did. Some people said I was mad to push her home and said I should of called, but I said no; that’s my Nan she’s helped me through some tough times so that’s all I can do to thank her. Her warm and beautiful smile will always be in my mind and heart, Nan was loved by all the family and me, her friends describe her as a ‘Breath of fresh air’ and I agree 100% she always done things to help others and would put herself out if she had to. Nan I will love you forever and always, thank you for everything you have done for me. God Bless you. Grant xxxxx
